Products and Methods Department

The Products & Methods department manages more than 500 French, European or international standards in the fields of fuels (of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin), bituminous binders, lubricants and in the field of measurement.

The standards define the classification of products, their terminology, specifications and test methods.

The Products & Methods department coordinates 6 mirror standardization commissions for the technical committees CEN/TC 19 “Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related petroleum products of synthetic and biological origin”, CEN/TC 336 “Bitumens and bituminous binders” and ISO/TC 28 “Petroleum and related products, fuels and lubricants from natural or synthetic sources”.
